Retail Cannabis Sales Associates (FT/PT)

POSITION SUMMARY:

We seek outgoing and passionate Sales Associates who are looking for long-term employment. Our Sales Associates will assist the management team with the activities and operations of the store, while abiding by policies, procedures and operational guidelines. Our Sales Associates are responsible for helping customers, checking them out, cash handling and customer service. You must possess the ability to listen well and communicate effectively with various audiences.  Sales Associates are a customer-facing role; they are an integral part of helping the company achieve its sales goal.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be of legal age to sell cannabis and cannabis products/merchandise (19 years or older)
• Criminal background check required upon employment
• Must be able to accommodate scheduling expectations including weekend, evenings, and holiday shifts 
• Cannabis knowledge preferred
• Previous retail experience preferred 
• Knowledge of basic computer skills, point of sale software and cash management
• Understanding Federal, Provincial and Municipal laws and regulations as they pertain to the industry, safety regulations, and standard operational procedures 
• Must successfully complete training that is provided by the company before employment begins
• Excellent Customer Service
• Fun attitude and strong work ethic
• Must successfully complete the CannSell Retail Certification program 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for sales and customer experience by maintaining a tidy, safe and inviting store environment 
• Managing customer satisfaction by guiding customers through the selection process
• Promote a work environment that is positive, customer-service oriented and compliant with established policies and procedures
• Greeting customers warmly as they enter
• Provide guidance and education about cannabis products for customers to have a safe and enjoyable cannabis experience 
• Stay current on the cannabis industry with trends/products
• Verifying proper documentation and ID for customers
• Work well with others and as a team player
• Other duties as assigned by the Management Team

EDUCATION:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

COMPENSATION:

• $16+ per hour (depending on experience)
