Yellowhead Community Services Society, an integrated health/social service agency with offices located in Clearwater and Barriere, BC, is seeking a skilled, knowledgeable and experienced individual to fulfill the role of Mental Health & Substance Use Life Skills Worker and Family Services Coordinator within our agency. This combined position will be a permanent, full-time position of 35hrs per week.

Position Components:

Mental Health and Substance Use Life Skills Worker:

Working primarily with adult and older adult population to provide intake, assessment, brief interventions and case management services. This will include supporting individuals in our office, their home and in the community.

Family Services Coordinator:

Provide supervision to staff working with children, youth and families who are at risk of family breakdown. Work in conjunction with the Ministry of Children and Family Development with a goal towards family preservation.

Qualifications

Bachelor Degree from an accredited educational institution in an Allied Health, Behavioural, or Social Science field is preferred, however related 2 year diploma and relevant experience may be considered.

Previous supervisory experience plus two (2) years’ recent experience in a mental health and addictions treatment environment. Experience working with children, youth and families is an asset.
