Job Description

  • To take bundles of newspapers from the Stackers at the end of the printing press and pile them neatly and accurately onto pallets as per our customers requirements
  • Reporting into the Crew Chief

Working Schedules – 3 Week Rotation
  • Day Schedule – Monday to Friday – 7:30am-3:30pm
  • Afternoon Schedule – Monday to Friday – 3:30pm-11:30pm ($2.30 shift premium)
  • Night Schedule – Sunday to Friday – 11:30pm-7:30am ($2.30 shift premium)

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ability to jog and stack printed paper and bundles to pallets
  • Ensure printed copies are stacked neatly into bundles and placed on top of pallets
  • Ensure bundles and skid counts accurately match customer orders
  • Assist Pressroom staff with set-up, clean-up, and general maintenance
  • Complete all duties in accordance with our Health and Safety policies and the Occupational Health and Safety Act


Qualifications

  • Minimum of High School diploma an asset
  • On the job training provided
  • Good manual dexterity to jog and stack paper bundles on to pallets
  • Detail oriented in a fast-paced team environment with opportunities to build positive team relationships
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs and stand for an extended period with ease
  • Effective communications and interpersonal skills in a team environment

Compensation
  • Starting hourly rate is $17.35 + $2.30 shift premium on all afternoon and midnight hours
