About the Opportunity
The Manager works with the Zone Operations Director and the DI Medical Department Head for the Zone, to facilitate the daily administrative and clinical operations of the areas of responsibility and to ensure the delivery of a high quality, safe and efficient Diagnostic Imaging services. The manager must balance the demand on the services based on inpatient, outpatient, and emergency needs. The Manager works in collaboration with other managers and staff to develop and implement policies and procedures which are congruent with the Program and overall corporate plan of Nova Scotia Health.
The Manager is accountable for the efficient and effective operation of assigned areas of responsibility including Diagnostic Imaging at Dartmouth General Hospital, Cobequid Community Health Centre, Tri-Facilities (Twin Oaks, Musquodoboit Valley and Eastern Shore) and the Central Zone Equipment services. It is the responsibility of the Manager to oversee equipment-related services and contracts throughout all sites within the Central Zone and work closely with the Provincial DI Equipment and Service Contract manager. The Manager works in a co-leadership relationship with the designated Service Chief / Chief Radiologist for assigned areas/facilities and works with modality lead managers to facilitate standardized services.

$42.63 - $56.64 hourly

About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Radiological Technology supplemented by additional formal management and/or leadership training
- Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification or other imaging-related credentialing body
- Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure or eligible
- Minimum (3) three years' experience relevant supervisory/managerial experience, demonstrating progressive development of financial, strategic and people management skills
- Equivalent combinations of experience and/or alternative education shall be considered
- Masters Level Degree in health related discipline, health administration, business administration or related subject an asset
- Certified Health Executive designation an asset
- Leadership, organizational and decision skills in support of patient, family and client-centred diagnostic imaging services
- Knowledge in field to help inform strategy development and organizational planning.
- Strategic planning and systems thinking
- Experience in financial planning and management
- Evidence-based collaborative problem solving, critical thinking, and decision making skills
- Well developed organizational, networking, negotiation and change management skills
- Understanding of the principles of project management with demonstrated ability to lead work teams
- Experienced in leading change
- Familiarity with quality improvement methodologies. (e.g., LEAN)
- Strong presentation and public speaking skills that are responsive to audience needs
- Advanced written and oral communications skills/positive energetic public persona
- Cultural competence
- Ability to analyse and interpret statistical data and monitor quality and performance indicators and benchmarks
- Possesses functional knowledge of Radiology Information Systems
- Ability to work within Microsoft Office suite and SAP environments
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
