\nThis is a chance to work at Canada's biggest newspaper.
\n
\nWe are accepting applications for summer 2023. (May - August)
\n
\nThis internship is for early-career journalists — college- and university-level students or recent graduates who have less than five years of experience in the profession. You must have some form of journalism experience — previous internships or roles in a range of organizations, freelance or non-traditional outlets.
\n
\nInterns work with full-time staff in a challenging but supportive environment.
\n
\nAll Starinternships are paid, contract positions.

The hours of work for this position will vary according to the assignment but will all conform to a standard 35-hour work week as described under the collective agreement. Application should demonstrate
- A range of story-telling skills, with a strong emphasis on news coverage
- Proven ability to report thoroughly, write well and organize information
- Multimedia experience, including social media, video, audio, digital producing and design and photography
- Reporting experience outside school assignments and a demonstrated commitment to journalism as a career
- Strong interpersonal skills
