We are currently recruiting for a Class "A" Gasfitter/Journeyperson Plumber Team Lead. Reporting to the Mechanical Project Manager, the successful candidate will be a team player, exemplify our core values, and have a strong commitment to site safety.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Mechanical Field Team: both in terms of day-to-day people management as well as setting the project daily/weekly goals so they are in line with the overall project schedule and plan, complete 1-week and 6-week look ahead.
  • Liaison with the Mechanical Project Manager.
  • Collaborate and effectively communicate with the Site Superintendent.
  • Influence, develop and implement quality control plans, safety, and the delegation of work to the field team, contractors and trades people ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate sub-trades to ensure there are no discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures building codes and legislation.

  • Pull permits.
  • Assist in the efficient commissioning of new installations and modifications.
  • Fully test new installation or modification/repair prior to operation.
  • Use testing equipment effectively to check for system leaks and troubleshoot fitting errors.
  • Able to create drawings and understand work packages.
  • Conduct work within planned time frames.
  • Comply will all safety policies and procedures.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

  • Requirements:
  • Red Seal plumbing ticket
  • Class A Gas Fitter ticket a must
  • 3+ years Team Lead or Superintendent experience in the construction industry
  • Commercial and small industrial experience
  • Must have or be willing to obtain the following tickets: Fall Protection, WHMIS 2015, Elevated Work Platform, Level 1 First Aid, and H2S Alive.
  • Other certification that would be an asset: LSE, Confined space
  • Willingness to travel to various locations around Canada
  • Knowledge of construction costs and budgets.
  • Solid understanding of plumbing and gas codes.
  • Extensive knowledge of modern construction practices.
  • A strong safety record and the ability to work with a variety of individuals.
  • Experience with Salus and Procore would be an asset.
