We are currently recruiting for a Class "A" Gasfitter/Journeyperson Plumber Team Lead. Reporting to the Mechanical Project Manager, the successful candidate will be a team player, exemplify our core values, and have a strong commitment to site safety.

Responsibilities:

Lead the Mechanical Field Team: both in terms of day-to-day people management as well as setting the project daily/weekly goals so they are in line with the overall project schedule and plan, complete 1-week and 6-week look ahead.

Liaison with the Mechanical Project Manager.

Collaborate and effectively communicate with the Site Superintendent.

Influence, develop and implement quality control plans, safety, and the delegation of work to the field team, contractors and trades people ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

Coordinate sub-trades to ensure there are no discrepancies.

Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures building codes and legislation.

Pull permits.

Assist in the efficient commissioning of new installations and modifications.

Fully test new installation or modification/repair prior to operation.

Use testing equipment effectively to check for system leaks and troubleshoot fitting errors.

Able to create drawings and understand work packages.

Conduct work within planned time frames.

Comply will all safety policies and procedures.

May perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Red Seal plumbing ticket

Class A Gas Fitter ticket a must

3+ years Team Lead or Superintendent experience in the construction industry

Commercial and small industrial experience

Must have or be willing to obtain the following tickets: Fall Protection, WHMIS 2015, Elevated Work Platform, Level 1 First Aid, and H2S Alive.

Other certification that would be an asset: LSE, Confined space

Willingness to travel to various locations around Canada

Knowledge of construction costs and budgets.

Solid understanding of plumbing and gas codes.

Extensive knowledge of modern construction practices.

A strong safety record and the ability to work with a variety of individuals.

Experience with Salus and Procore would be an asset.
