Red Seal Oil Burner Mechanic - $40-45/ hr - Rankin Inlet, NU

Permanent position
Rotating schedule: 6 weeks in / 2 weeks out
Salary: $40 - $45 an hour (Blended)

Responsibilities
As a Red Seal Oil Burner Mechanic in Rankin Inlet, NU, a normal day would include:
- Oversee heating, plumbing, and renovation work in accordance with work orders, and plans
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning oil burners
- Assemble oil burner heating systems components
- Perform installation of oil-fired systems
- Test installed units and adjust controls for proper functioning
- Perform preventative maintenance work on motors, pumps, control devices, boilers, forced air furnaces, and oil-fired hot water tanks
- Completion of work order forms, detailing work performed and materials used, assisting in inventory, and stock control
- Supervision/training of apprentices as required
- Travel to other communities in Nunavut when needed
- Be on the call-out team to handle emergencies
- Other duties as needed

Qualifications
What do you need for this position?
- 5+ years of technical and trade experience
- Red Seal Certification is a strong asset / current Oil Heat System Technician license
- Understanding of the current regulations within the field
- Able to pass a criminal background check
- Able to provide proof of full vaccination (for travel purposes)
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills on a technical level
- Comfortable working on residential and commercial assignments
- Ability to work as a team, and independently
- Strong client focus with demonstrated ability to deliver excellent customer service
- Demonstrate a professional and positive demeanor
- Valid class 5 license and good driving record
- Must be able to physically lift up to 50lbs
