Our team and what we'll accomplish together
This role will be part of the mobility finance team of TELUS Business Solutions (TBS) organization, which provides financial leadership for internal customers mainly from the marketing and sales team and act as a trusted partner to help them achieve challenging business growth. We revise, analyze, and report monthly financial information to corporate accounting and to our internal customers. We are deeply involved in the financial forecasting activities (budget, monthly outlook ("Triage"), and our long-term financial model, ensuring marketing plans and other strategic initiatives are properly reflected. Specifically, you will support the organic Internet of Things (IoT) portfolio for all of TELUS.
What you'll do
IoT growth is a focus at TELUS and growth in revenue and market share in connected devices are key.
You will lead this portfolio and be the main point of contact for all things organic IoT & connected device. You will be a trusted financial advisor and business partner, helping TBS leaders and their teams to achieve business objectives within financial goals. Supporting a $100M/year revenue-generating portfolio, you will be part of a dynamic, collaborative finance team, and work alongside the planning/marketing team to drive business decision making. In that capacity, you will support a rapidly growing portfolio with evolving business needs and improve profitability by helping the leaders identify revenue / cost optimization opportunities. You will work on large contract deals, help project managers to achieve success from setting up cost codes in the system to tracking the expenses. You will also be involved in special projects related to the products and customers in the IoT portfolio.
As well as taking care of the financial planning, analysis & reporting for the organic piece, you will also be responsible for consolidating all things IoT, which includes our Mergers & Acquisitions and emerging IoT.
What you bring
7+ years in an FP&A role with similar levels of scope and depth Comfortable presenting to senior leadership and in front of large audiences Moderate working knowledge of telecom Decent working knowledge of SAP and Cloud solution (S/4 HANA) considered huge asset Strong skills in Google Workspace suite, MS EXCEL & MS PowerPoint Strong organization skills Strong IFRS knowledge Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce or Economics CPA designation (CA, CMA, CGA)
Great-to-haves
Other financial designations (CFA, CBV, etc.) Experience supporting a wireless/IoT telecom P&L Past experience supporting a major SAP or ERP upgrade would be considered a huge asset
