Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor will facilitate the efficient operation of the Warehouse Department managing daily activities of the department and its employees to ensure efficient and effective warehousing and shipping operation, raw material receiving and storage and tote packing operation while also complying with Company, Corporate and pertinent Federal safety rules, and standards.

Your day-to-day activities will include:
  • Coordinate with Office Administration staff and Logistics Coordinator on truck loads schedule;
  • Update and maintain accurate entries of production output in the system and ensure that the inventory of each product SKUs are correct and updated through consistent cycle count;
  • Coordinate and interact with other department supervisors effectively on matters related to warehouse and shipping activities;
  • Manage forklift repair and maintenance, and coordinate with vendor on service schedule;
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by ensuring that correct product and quantity are shipped on schedule and assist the management team in any troubleshooting related to customer complaints as required;
  • Ensure that employee training and certification are achieved and updated;
  • Manage the staff to ensure that they are meeting the performance expectation and exercise fair and effective discipline, if necessary, in accordance with the collective agreement and Company policies;
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and sanitation throughout the warehouse areas;
  • Maintain documents and records in accordance with all relevant quality policies and procedures;
  • Act as alternate to the Production/Packing Supervisor as required;
  • Other duties as assigned.

The successful candidate should enter the position with the following qualifications:
  • At least two (2) year of previous experience in a Supervisory role in food production/warehouse environment;
  • A college diploma in business, supply chain and logistics, or its equivalent would be an asset;
  • Work experience in driving forklift in warehouse or food manufacturing;
  • Possess strong communication, both oral and written, and organizational skills;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook);
  • Previous experience with managing inventory and purchasing would be an asset;
  • Working knowledge in Macola/EM10 software would be an asset
