We are seeking a Sales Manager to fuel our growth in the Western United States, Canada and the Caribbean. The ideal candidate is an energetic and highly motivated team player that will pursue Meter Data Management and Customer Portal opportunities in the "Utilities" market including municipal, cooperative and investor owned (IOU's), (Water, Electric and gas). The incumbent will identify the customer's needs, demonstrate the software's benefits, and present the solution to prospective customers.

The role requires representing our company with honesty and integrity and building strong relationships with prospective customers to generate new leads and new business. You will be responsible for presenting our enterprise software solution, generating, nurturing and closing new opportunities.

This remote role welcomes candidates anywhere in the US and Canada.
What your impact will be:
The Sales Manager will take ownership of:
  • Building a robust funnel and pipeline for New Name accounts
  • Pursing New Name opportunities both directly and in collaboration with partners
  • Meet or exceed sales quota objectives
  • Negotiate contracts
  • Ensure accurate sales forecasting in CRM


Activities include:
  • Initiates/nurtures communication with prospects and engages in a sales discovery that will generate sales leads and opportunities.
  • Engage in high-level presentations of the SmartWorks offering and include the Solutions Engineering team when appropriate.
  • Maintains records of all interactions with prospects in CRM
  • Collaborate with partners on bids
  • Provides regular updates to the Sales Team with activity and prospect information


What we are looking for:
  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise software sales
  • Experience or familiarity with utility enterprise applications such as Meter Data Management, Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI), Automated Meter Reading (AMR), Customer Information System (CIS)/Billing System, Geographic Information System (GIS), Outage Management System
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and CRM
  • Ability to travel up to 50% (post-covid)


What would make you stand out:
  • Previous experience selling in the utility industry is preferred
  • Experience or familiarity with Smart Grid/Smart Infrastructure is preferred


Location:
This position is "remote- Work from Home" anywhere in Canada/USA and requires travel to;
  • Customer sites are in Canada and the United States
  • Harris Corporate offices in Canada and the United States
